The Rivers State Police Command has apprehended five individuals in connection with the tragic murder of showbiz personality, Speech Horsfall. In an official statement, the police disclosed that the suspects extorted money from Horsfall’s parents following his death.
A viral video surfaced where one of the suspects, who admitted to selling hard drugs, claimed that Horsfall was a regular drug customer. According to the suspect, on the day of the incident, Horsfall purchased drugs but sent a fake payment alert, which caused the dealer to raise alarm. This led to a confrontation where a crowd gathered and assaulted Horsfall. The victim was later placed in a tricycle, where he unfortunately succumbed to his injuries.
The arrested suspects include Friday, Boma Otonye (aka Excess Chief), 41, David Link Ishaku (aka Biggy), 34, Moses Nsikak Benjamin (aka Aboy), 29, and Emmanuel Aniete, 32. All suspects have reportedly confessed to their involvement in the crime.
