A 65-year-old woman and a 20-year-old youth were arrested on Sunday for selling narcotic pills purchased online in Chithode, Erode district.
The arrests were made following a tip-off about the illegal sale of controlled substances in the area. Acting on the information, the police detained Thilagavai from Odhappallam and began questioning her. Based on her statements, the authorities proceeded to arrest Santhoshkumar and conducted a search at his residence.
During the search, the police confiscated 90 narcotic pills, insulin, three syringes, and other related items. The investigation is ongoing as law enforcement continues to gather details about the illegal activities.
