Ernakulam Police Arrest Tashbir in Nedumbassery Gold Theft

Stolen gold recovered; bus attack under investigation

Ernakulam rural police have arrested a 29-year-old man, Tashbir, for allegedly stealing gold from a locked house in Nedumbassery. A native of Alathur, Palakkad, Tashbir had been residing in Nayathode for the past ten months.

According to authorities, the theft occurred on Wednesday when Tashbir allegedly entered the house during daytime and stole 3.2 grams of gold from the bedroom. The stolen items were subsequently recovered by police. Tashbir was presented in court and remanded to judicial custody.

In a separate incident, Njarackal police launched an investigation after the crew of the bus named Kalidasan reported being attacked by unidentified individuals on Thursday. The attackers reportedly arrived on bikes. While no arrests have been made yet, the incident prompted a strike by private bus staff in the Paravoor-Vypeen-Munambam area on Friday.

Police continue to investigate both cases to ensure public safety and recover stolen property.
