BRIGHTON, UK — On August 5, 23-year-old Endri Lamaj, of no fixed address, was arrested in Brighton by Sussex Police after being caught dealing cocaine. A video released by the police captured the surreal encounter where Lamaj openly admitted to using the drug he was selling and even offered some to the arresting officers.

The footage shows Lamaj interacting with a suspected customer before officers handcuffed him on John Street. When confronted, Lamaj responded, “Yes, yes, fking yes – and I sniff it myself.” He then brazenly asked the officers, “Do you want some? Yeah, you’ve got it here – fking take it,” while reaching into his pocket.

Lamaj was apprehended following reports of drug dealing near Sillwood Road on August 4. Police found 11 bags of cocaine and a large amount of cash during his arrest under suspicion of possession with intent to supply a Class A drug.

Charged on August 6, Lamaj pleaded guilty on September 3 at Lewes Crown Court and was sentenced to two years in prison.

Detective Chief Inspector Simon Marchant highlighted the broader impact of drug dealing, stating it disrupts communities, fuels anti-social behavior, and creates insecurity. He also praised local residents for reporting Lamaj’s activities and confirmed that police patrols continue in the area.
