Ellis Brown, 28, was sentenced to 40 months in prison after being involved in a burglary that saw £25,000 in cash stolen from a Tesco store in Burscough. The incident occurred on September 11, 2024, when Lancashire police were called to reports of a break-in at the Tesco store located on Station Approach just before 1 a.m.

During the burglary, the thieves managed to steal a significant sum of money, leaving considerable damage behind. Following an investigation, Brown was identified, arrested, and charged with burglary. He pleaded guilty to his involvement and appeared at Preston Crown Court, where he was sentenced.

Despite Brown’s conviction, Lancashire police are still seeking to locate Lee Brown, who is wanted for questioning in relation to the case. DC Nina Stencel from South CID remarked, “I welcome the sentence handed down to Ellis Brown and hope that it sends a strong message to anyone considering similar crimes in the future. We will not tolerate such offences in Lancashire.”

The investigation into the burglary continues, and authorities are committed to bringing all those involved to justice.
