LIVERMORE, CA — Two Stockton residents were arrested after a traffic stop in Livermore led to the discovery of burglary tools and evidence connected to a widespread identity theft operation.
According to the Livermore Police Department, officers pulled over a vehicle shortly after midnight on June 3 in the 2000 block of Las Positas Road.
The passenger, Elaina Zachocki, 31, identified herself and admitted she had an active warrant. The driver initially provided a false name but was later identified as Thaveesak Kham, 35, also of Stockton.
A search of the vehicle turned up a key ring with numerous shaved keys, along with burglary tools, multiple ID cards, a fake driver’s license, opened mail, and numerous credit, debit, and EBT cards. Police said the evidence linked the suspects to over 30 identity theft victims across California’s Central Valley.
Records also showed that both Zachocki and Kham had prior felony convictions related to identity theft.
They were arrested and booked on multiple charges, including identity theft, possession of a false ID, false impersonation, and outstanding warrants.
