Donovan Brown Arrested in Charleston Shooting and Robbery

Police Charge Brown in Connection with Critical Shooting Incident

CHARLESTON, W.Va. (WSAZ) – A 23-year-old man, Donovan Lee Brown, Jr., has been arrested in connection with a shooting that left a victim in critical condition.

According to Charleston Police, the incident occurred outside the victim’s home in the 1300 block of Grant Street. Police reports indicate that the victim was meeting someone outside for an arranged narcotics deal when he was confronted by five men. One of the men opened fire, striking the victim multiple times.

After the shooting, the suspects reportedly robbed the victim before fleeing the scene. Shortly after, police stopped one of the robbery suspects near the crime scene.

Donovan Lee Brown, Jr., from Charleston, was arrested and charged with first-degree robbery. Police are continuing their investigation and working to identify the other suspects involved in the incident.
