A Columbus man, 33-year-old Deshun Williams, has been arrested and is now facing multiple felony charges tied to a multi-jurisdictional fraud investigation.
Williams was taken into custody by the Starkville Police Department on Monday, June 9, 2025, after authorities linked him to fraudulent transactions at eight different businesses within Starkville. The alleged offenses took place from March 2025 to the present.
He is currently charged with two felony counts of False Pretenses, six felony counts of Credit Card Fraud, and one misdemeanor count of Credit Card Fraud. Investigators anticipate that more charges will be filed as the case develops.
Law enforcement agencies in Oxford, Horn Lake, Clay County (MS), Pickens County (AL), and the Tennessee Department of Corrections are also involved, as Williams faces related charges in those areas and remains wanted in Tennessee.
This arrest came as part of a joint investigation involving multiple departments working together to track Williams’ criminal activity across state lines.
