BOSTON — ICE Homeland Security Investigations (HSI) New England arrested Dennis Costa, a 66-year-old lawful permanent resident and registered sex offender, at his Fall River residence on July 29.
Costa, a native of Portugal, was convicted on November 25, 1991, of rape and abuse of a child, as well as indecent assault and battery of a child under 14. He was sentenced to 10 years in prison and is required to register as a sex offender in Massachusetts.
Costa entered the United States as a lawful permanent resident around January 26, 1969.
He is currently being held in ICE custody pending a hearing before an immigration judge.
