The Delhi Police arrested a drug peddler and seized 461 grams of heroin worth Rs1.10 crore, along with illegal firearms, in Shahdara. The arrested individual, identified as Mohammad Asif Chaudhary (33), hails from New Seelampur.
On February 4, police received a tip-off regarding the transportation of heroin near a hotel in Anand Vihar. Acting on the information, officers laid a trap near the hotel and successfully apprehended Chaudhary. A 9mm pistol and live cartridges were also seized from him during the arrest.
The police have initiated further investigation into the case and are probing the sources of the heroin and firearms.
