In a significant operation under the Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyan (NMBA), the Anti-Narcotics Cell and AATS/North District of Delhi have successfully arrested two individuals involved in drug trafficking. This comes as part of the ongoing efforts to combat the growing drug menace.

On April 4, acting on a tip-off, the Delhi Police carried out a raid near Vasudev Ghat in Civil Lines, leading to the recovery of more than 10 kilograms of high-quality Ganja. The accused, Mohd. Rafiq (34) and Aman Verma (27), were arrested at the scene and are now facing charges under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act.

Deputy Commissioner of Police, North District, Raja Banthia, stated, “Based on reliable intelligence, a raid was conducted in the Civil Lines area. During the operation, the two individuals, identified as Mohd. Rafiq and Aman Verma, were apprehended, and the contraband was seized.”

The arrested suspects are currently under police custody as investigations continue into their connections within the larger drug trafficking network.
