Delhi Police Arrest Mannonit Dang & Salik Mahli in Rs 15 Lakh Jewelry Theft

Two Jharkhand Natives Arrested for Stealing Jewelry at Metro Station

The Delhi Police have arrested two individuals, Mannonit Dang (30) and Salik Mahli (29), in connection with a jewelry theft involving a stolen bag worth Rs 15 lakh at Karol Bagh Metro Station. The suspects, both natives of Jharkhand, were apprehended after a thorough investigation that included analyzing CCTV footage from multiple metro stations.

The theft, which occurred during a busy rush hour on December 26, was reported through an e-FIR by the complainant, who claimed her bag containing valuable jewelry was stolen while passing through the X-BIS machine security check. After a detailed review of CCTV footage and surveillance, police identified the female suspect who, along with an accomplice, snatched the bag and exited the station.

The female suspect was located and arrested on December 28 in Rajender Nagar, Delhi, while Salik Mahli was tracked to Ahmedabad and arrested on December 30. Both were brought back to Delhi, where the stolen jewelry and other items were recovered from their possession. The accused have been sent to jail, and further investigations into the case are ongoing.
