Delhi Fraud: Sameer Sheikh and Julmad Sheikh Arrested for Cheating

Two men arrested for defrauding a victim of Rs 56,500 in Kamla Market

In a daring fraud incident in Delhi, two men were arrested for allegedly cheating a man out of a significant amount of money in the bustling Kamla Market area. Sameer Sheikh and Julmad Sheikh, both 21 and residents of JJ Colony, Bawana, were identified as the perpetrators of the crime.

The incident unfolded when the victim, a resident of Uttar Pradesh, was approached outside a metro station by a man claiming to be carrying Rs 1.5 lakh and seeking help. The victim, believing the man’s story, was defrauded in the process.

Using CCTV footage, the police tracked down the suspects and arrested them the following day. During the investigation, authorities recovered a Google Pixel mobile and Rs 56,500 in cash from the suspects. One of the accused, Sameer Sheikh, was found to have a criminal record, indicating prior involvement in similar offenses.

The police confirmed the arrests and continue their efforts to investigate any additional connections to other crimes.
