Yerington, Nev. — David Haynes, 48, was arrested on multiple drug charges after a traffic stop near Yerington revealed a large quantity of narcotics and prescription drugs in his van.
Police stopped Haynes on August 20 at 11:10 p.m. for driving with obstructed plates and crossing the center line. When questioned, Haynes said he was headed to Black Rock City for Burning Man.
A K9 unit performed an open-air sniff of the cargo van, alerting officers to the presence of narcotics. A subsequent search uncovered 104 grams of crack cocaine, 6.1 grams of methamphetamine, ecstasy, psilocybin mushrooms, 9 grams of Molly, 9.9 grams of DMT, 3.4 grams of 2CB, LSD tabs, and multiple vape pens suspected to contain 2CB.
Police also found gram scales, packaging materials, and several prescription drugs—Oxycodone, Vicodin, Valium, and Xanax—packaged for sale.
Haynes was booked into Lyon County Jail with bail set at $248,000.
