WARSAW, Ind. — A Milford man has been arrested and charged in connection with a series of thefts at the Warsaw Walmart totaling over $1,000.

Daniel Adam Joseph Zeringue Jr., 40, of 211 S. Higbee St., Milford, faces one level 6 felony charge for theft involving property valued between $750 and $50,000, along with two class A misdemeanor theft charges.

According to court documents, on Aug. 14, 2024, a Warsaw detective responded to a theft complaint from Walmart employees. Staff reported that Zeringue had repeatedly used self-checkout lanes but left the store without completing payment for scanned items.

Between June and August 2024, surveillance footage allegedly showed Zeringue scanning a QR code at self-checkout terminals and then exiting the store without finalizing transactions. The total amount of merchandise he is accused of stealing adds up to $1,056.

Zeringue was arrested and later released on his own recognizance pending further court proceedings.
