MONTROSE, Iowa — A southeast Iowa man faces multiple felony charges after authorities searched his residence and uncovered evidence of meth trafficking.
Dakota Lee Rogers, 33, of Keokuk, was arrested and charged with delivery of less than 5 grams of methamphetamine, possession with intent to deliver more than 5 grams of methamphetamine, and an Iowa drug tax stamp violation, all felonies.
Rogers also faces misdemeanor charges of possession of marijuana, maintaining a drug house, and possession of drug paraphernalia.
The charges followed an undercover operation in which officers from the Lee County Narcotics Task Force reportedly purchased meth from Rogers.
After obtaining a search warrant, investigators searched Rogers’ home and found additional evidence consistent with ongoing drug trafficking activity. Authorities noted that the residence is located near a public school, adding to the seriousness of the offenses.
The Lee County Narcotics Task Force was assisted in the investigation by the Keokuk Police Department and the Fort Madison Police Department.
