Traffic stop on I-10 leads to meth and Subutex discovery

Crowley Man Arrested for Meth & Subutex Possession

A Crowley man, David Lawrence Delcambre, 38, was arrested following a traffic stop that led to the discovery of illegal drugs, officials said.

The arrest occurred on the I-10 westbound on-ramp in Rayne, Louisiana, when law enforcement pulled Delcambre over for a traffic violation. During the stop, officers conducted a search of his vehicle, uncovering methamphetamine and Subutex, a Schedule III controlled substance.

Charges:
Delcambre was taken into custody and booked into the Acadia Parish jail, facing the following charges:

R.S. 40:967 – Prohibited Acts (Schedule II Drug Possession – Methamphetamine)
R.S. 40:968 – Prohibited Acts (Schedule III Drug Possession – Subutex)
Authorities have not disclosed whether Delcambre remains in custody or if bail has been set. The investigation is ongoing.
