Christina Bromley-Turner, 48, of Rockingham, was arrested on Thursday for cashing forged checks at Woodforest National Bank in Aberdeen. The arrest followed an investigation into fraud and forgery that occurred on February 27, when Aberdeen officers responded to the bank regarding the allegations.

Upon meeting with bank management, Aberdeen officers began reviewing bank records, images, and statements. Through their investigation, they identified Bromley-Turner as the suspect. It was determined that she had obtained over $6,700 in cash by presenting and cashing four separate fraudulent checks.

Warrants were obtained for Bromley-Turner on charges of four counts of felony obtaining property by false pretenses and four counts of felony uttering a forged instrument.

The following day, with assistance from the Rockingham Police Department, Aberdeen investigators located and arrested Bromley-Turner. She was taken before a Moore County magistrate and given a $25,000 secured bond.
