LAREDO, Texas — A 32-year-old man was arrested Thursday evening after a woman reported seeing him attempt to break into her truck outside her home, according to Laredo police.
Officers responded to a burglary call on Jan. 15 after the woman said she saw a man open the driver’s side door of her truck shortly after she parked. When she yelled at him, the suspect walked away from the scene.
Police later located a man matching the description rummaging through items near the intersection of San Eduardo and Alamo. The suspect, identified as Christian Almendarez, allegedly failed to comply with officers and attempted to leave the area.
Almendarez was taken into custody and booked into the Webb County Jail. He faces charges of burglary of a vehicle, failure to identify, and resisting arrest.
