The Chit Fund and Kandhu Vatti Investigation wing of the Central Crime Branch has apprehended a 49-year-old woman who had been on the run for four years, accused of defrauding numerous individuals through a fraudulent Deepavali chit fund scheme.

The arrested individual has been identified as Amudha M., a resident of Triplicane in Chennai. Her arrest followed a complaint from B.
