RICHLAND, MISSISSIPPI — A traffic stop in Richland resulted in a major drug bust after police arrested a 58-year-old Arkansas man found with an estimated $200,000 worth of illegal narcotics in his vehicle.

The arrest occurred just after midnight on April 2, when an officer stopped a car on Highway 49 for a traffic violation. The driver was identified as Carl Dimino of Story, Arkansas.

According to authorities, the officer smelled marijuana during the stop. Dimino admitted to possessing marijuana and handed the officer a joint. This led to a full search of the vehicle.

During the search, officers discovered a large cache of illegal substances, including:

126 dosage units of ecstasy

Over three pounds of MDMA

Five pounds of psilocybin

12 vials of pure LSD liquid

A significant number of LSD squares

198 grams of marijuana

Two digital scales

Police say Dimino has a long criminal record, with more than 20 prior arrests and 12 felony charges across seven states.

He was taken into custody and is now facing multiple felony drug charges as the investigation continues.
