Byndoor police successfully apprehended three individuals involved in a house theft case that occurred in the village of Uppunda. The incident took place on March 10 when the victim, Janardhana, left his house to watch Yakshagana. Upon his return around 1 am, he discovered that the doors of his house were broken open, and several valuables, including gold and silver jewellery, cash, and a laptop, had been stolen.
Following the complaint, Byndoor police registered a case under Sections 331(1), (4), and 305 of the BNS. A dedicated police team, led by Byndoor Police Inspector Savithru Tej PD, along with sub-inspectors Thimmesh BN and Naveen P Borkar, worked swiftly to investigate the case.
The police team arrested the accused individuals – Yathiraj, Mahesh, and Karthik Nagoor. During the investigation, the police recovered the stolen items, including gold jewellery, a laptop, and mobile phones used by the accused. The total value of the seized goods is estimated to be approximately Rs 3 lakh.
The accused were presented before the court after their arrest, and the investigation is continuing as the police look into further details of the theft.
