NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WZTV) — Brenton Adelson was arrested at Nashville International Airport after TSA officers discovered a stash of illegal drugs and nearly $10,000 in cash in his luggage during a routine security check.
The incident occurred early in the morning when TSA agents, suspecting narcotics in Adelson’s belongings, conducted a search. According to an affidavit obtained by FOX17 News, Adelson admitted he was carrying drugs and was taken into custody by airport police.
A subsequent test revealed he was in possession of:
78 grams of cocaine
29 grams of ketamine
10 grams of MDMA
Other substances including LSD, meth, and fentanyl
He also had almost $10,000 in cash on him.
Adelson is currently being held on a $135,000 bond and faces multiple felony drug charges. Authorities have not disclosed whether the drugs were intended for distribution, and the investigation remains ongoing.
