Bocaue Police Corporal Arrested for Overseas Job Recruitment Scam

Officer charged in scheme forcing victims into coerced work in Pasay City

by Sophia Bennett

Authorities arrested a police corporal in Bocaue, Bulacan, on June 16, 2025, for allegedly running a recruitment scam targeting individuals seeking overseas employment, the Integrity Monitoring and Enforcement Group (IMEG) reported.

IMEG said the officer and his accomplices posed as recruiters for an international placement agency, promising high-paying domestic jobs abroad. Two victims were charged over P100,000 each for placement fees, including costs for working visas and airfare.

However, instead of being deployed overseas, the victims were forced to work in a massage parlor in Pasay City, where they were threatened and coerced into providing sexual services under duress.
