Blake Eastwood Charged in GTA Home Reno Fraud Case

$296K mortgage scam involved fake renovation firms

by Amelia Crawford

Toronto Police have charged three men, including Blake Eastwood, 30, of Vaughan, in connection with a home renovation fraud scheme that defrauded two Toronto residents out of nearly $300,000.

According to investigators, between March 8 and March 27, the suspects operated under multiple business names—Kabe Home Improvements, Sen Financial, Space Inc., Entire Smart Home Inc., and Eastwood Construction—to offer home renovation services.

Victims were allegedly coached by the suspects on how to secure mortgage loans to fund the supposed projects. Once the funds were approved, the victims issued bank drafts totaling $296,000, which were collected by the suspects—who then disappeared, never completing any of the promised work.

Blake Eastwood, 30, of Vaughan, faces charges of fraud over $5,000 and possession of property obtained by crime.

Also charged are Blair Eastwood, 30, and Jude Eastwood, 35, both of Brampton. Each faces two counts of fraud over $5,000 and possession of property obtained by crime over $5,000.

Toronto Police have issued a public alert, urging any other potential victims to come forward as the investigation continues.
