Bhubaneswar Police Arrest Four in Brown Sugar Drug Bust

20 grams of brown sugar and motorcycles seized

In a significant operation, Khandagiri police arrested four drug peddlers on Monday in Bhubaneswar, recovering 20 grams of brown sugar and two motorcycles allegedly used in drug deals.

The arrested individuals are:

Arun Patra, resident of Dumuduma

Shakti Narayan Nanda, resident of Gandamunda

Jagannath Sahoo alias Jaga, resident of Raghunath Nagar

Dasharathi Dalai, resident of Raghunath Nagar

Acting on a tip-off, the Khandagiri Police team, led by IIC Abhimanyu Das, raided the AIIMS Road area, near the Maa Bhuasuni Temple and Cashew Forest, intercepting the accused during a drug transaction.

Bhubaneswar Sub-Division III ACP, Tapas Ch. Pradhan, stated that all four individuals have prior criminal records. Arun Patra and Jagannath Sahoo are linked to NDPS cases, while Dasharathi Dalai has a previous robbery conviction.

The seized contraband weighed 20 grams, and the two motorcycles used in the operation were confiscated. All four accused have been forwarded to court for further proceedings.
