Benjamin Lewis, 3 Others Arrested in Kern Gambling Raid

Deputies seize cash, drugs, and firearms in gambling operation

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. – Four people were arrested following a Kern County Sheriff’s Office investigation into an illegal gambling operation spanning three locations.

Search Warrants Executed
On March 1, 2025, deputies from the Gang Suppression Unit executed search warrants at the following locations:
📍 2700 block of Citrus Avenue
📍 3200 block of Century Drive
📍 2500 block of Oswell Street

Items Seized
Authorities confiscated:
✔️ Illegal gambling equipment
✔️ Several pounds of marijuana
✔️ Seven firearms
✔️ Over $200,000 in cash

Arrests and Charges
The following individuals were taken into custody and face charges related to illegal gambling, drug possession, and firearm violations:

Benjamin Lewis, 42
Lawrence De La Torre, 43
Jessica Rivera, 22
Brandon Colombo, 34
The investigation is ongoing, and authorities say more arrests may follow.
