Bengaluru, Karnataka: The Central Crime Branch (CCB) Narcotics Wing has seized drugs worth nearly Rs 10 crore from a flat in the Prestige Finsbury Park apartment complex in Balagere.
Two accused, Ashwin (27) and Mubina (25), both from Kerala, were arrested. Police allege that the duo had taken up drug peddling as their profession, preparing to supply narcotics during upcoming Holi parties.
The seized contraband includes:
8,335 LSD strips — a first for Karnataka, each valued at around Rs 6,000 in the illegal market, reportedly sold in the form of artwork, including deity images.
534 grams of charas
5 kg of hydro ganja
Investigators said a man named Vincent from Thailand was allegedly sending the drugs in small consignments via flights. Ashwin and Mubina would collect and store the contraband at locations suggested by him.
The CCB is also investigating the possible role of the flat owner in the operation.
