City police on Wednesday arrested 22-year-old Ayyub Siddiqui from GTB Nagar (Kareli) for allegedly threatening a college-going girl with an acid attack.
Kareli SO Ashish Singh confirmed that Siddiqui was booked under sections 78(2), 75(2), 333, 352, 351(3), and 115(2) of BNS and sent to jail. The victim’s family stated that Siddiqui had forcibly entered their home and issued serious threats.
Authorities have taken legal action, and the accused is now in custody pending further investigation.
