Police have taken into custody Anuj, an auto-rickshaw driver, for allegedly murdering his pregnant live-in partner, Angoori, in Dundahera village. The gruesome crime reportedly stemmed from disputes over pregnancy-related expenses.
Authorities discovered Angoori’s decomposed body, aged 28, in her rented room on Wednesday. Anuj allegedly strangled her following a heated argument on October 31 and then fled, locking the room behind him. Angoori, originally from Kannauj, Uttar Pradesh, was seven months pregnant at the time of her death.
Investigators revealed that Angoori had previously been married in 2023 and later married Vishal in a court marriage in 2024. Her relationship with Anuj had resulted in the pregnancy. Police continue to investigate the case to uncover further details regarding the motive and circumstances.
