Kukatpally Police arrested Aryan Yogesh Dhakan on Monday during a routine patrol at Usha Mullapudi X Road in connection with a house theft case. Suspicious behavior led to a search where officers found Dhakan carrying 290 grams of gold ornaments. Upon interrogation, he confessed to committing two house thefts valued at Rs30 lakhs.
Further investigation resulted in the arrests of two more suspects: Massi Suresh, implicated in stealing an i20 car worth Rs4 lakhs, and Alluri Pavan, accused of stealing a Canon EOS 5D Mark-III camera valued at Rs2.5 lakhs.
Police revealed that all three accused were struggling financially and addicted to vices, motivating their criminal activities to sustain lavish lifestyles. Items recovered include gold haram, necklaces, chains, bangles, a car, and the camera with accessories, amounting to a total value of approximately Rs36 lakhs.
Authorities continue their investigations to uncover additional details and possible accomplices.
