Police in Roxas City, Capiz, arrested two individuals wanted for separate crimes on Tuesday morning, November 12, 2024. One was apprehended for violating the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act (RA 9165), while the other was arrested for qualified theft.
The first suspect, 44-year-old “Toto,” was arrested by Ivisan police at his residence in Barangay Ondoy, Ivisan. He faces charges related to illegal drug activities. An arrest warrant was issued by Judge Esperanza Isabel E. Poco-Deslate of the Regional Trial Court, 6th Judicial Region, Branch 19, in Roxas City. No bail has been set for Toto, who is now being processed at the Ivisan police station.
In a separate operation, the Sapian police took into custody 46-year-old “Nene” at her home in Barangay Majanlud, Sapian. Nene peacefully surrendered after authorities presented her with a warrant for qualified theft. The warrant, also signed by Judge Poco-Deslate, was issued on May 19, 2017. The court set bail at PHP 40,000 for Nene’s temporary release. She is currently being held at the Sapian Municipal Police Station.
Both arrests are part of ongoing efforts by local authorities to combat illegal activities and uphold the law in the region.
