City police on Sunday arrested Alok Sharma (24), a resident of Newada, for stealing from an upper primary school in Newada Samogar. Authorities recovered a UPS, two ceiling fans, a speaker, a camera, and two sacks of books near the industrial area.
The theft occurred on October 26, when Sharma cut the iron-framed window of the school room. An FIR under section 305(5) of BNS was registered. Police caught him red-handed while he was attempting to dispose of the stolen items, which he had initially hidden near shrubs.

The juvenile and accomplices had allegedly attacked several people in Kakraha village on January 22, leaving them injured. Police had previously arrested 11 people in connection with the incident.
