Alfred Knox Arrested in Burlington Stabbing Incident

69-year-old charged with willful injury after man stabbed Sunday

BURLINGTON, Iowa (KWQC) — One man was hospitalized and another arrested following a stabbing early Sunday morning in Burlington.

According to police, Alfred Knox, 69, of Burlington, was arrested after officers responded to a reported disturbance in the 500 block of S. Central Avenue.

When officers arrived, they found an unidentified male suffering from a stab wound to the abdomen. The victim was transported to a nearby hospital for treatment. His current condition has not been publicly released.

Knox was taken into custody and booked at the Des Moines County Jail. He faces a charge of willful injury causing bodily harm, authorities said.
