Akash Islary Arrested in Gohpur Police’s Scooter Theft Crackdown

7 stolen scooters recovered; investigation ongoing in Biswanath district

In a significant operation, the Gohpur Police have recovered seven stolen TVS NTORQ scooters during a series of raids conducted between April 19 and 27 across various locations within the jurisdiction of Gohpur Police Station in Biswanath district.

The recovered scooters are suspected to be stolen property, with three of them linked to different police cases:

One scooter is connected to Gohpur PS Case No. 38/25

One scooter is associated with Bihpuria PS GDE No. 19

One scooter is linked to Helem PS Case No. 32/25

These scooters were promptly handed over to the respective police stations for further investigation. The remaining four scooters are still under investigation to determine their origins and rightful owners, with the police focusing on dismantling the network involved in these thefts.

As part of the investigation, the police arrested Akash Islary (20), a resident of Modhya Sonapur village under Gohpur PS. He was taken into custody, and further interrogation is underway to uncover more details about the thefts and to identify potential accomplices involved in the operation.
