A 41-year-old television actress from Bengaluru has lodged a police complaint alleging repeated online sexual harassment by a man despite her warnings. The harassment began three months ago when the actor, who works in Telugu and Kannada serials, received a friend request on Facebook from a user named ’Naveenz’.
Although she did not accept the request, the man began sending vulgar messages through Messenger daily. She blocked him multiple times, but he allegedly created new accounts and continued sending obscene messages and videos.
On November 1, when the actor confronted him in person, he refused to stop. Following her complaint, police arrested the accused, identified as Naveen K Mon, who worked as a delivery manager at a global technology recruitment firm with offices worldwide. He has been sent to judicial custody.
In a separate Bengaluru incident, a 33-year-old woman reported being sexually harassed while walking her dog. An unidentified man, believed to be around 30, allegedly exposed himself and masturbated in front of her. Police are investigating to identify the perpetrator.
