In connection with the scam, a police constable from R.K. Pur police station has been suspended from duty and reassigned to the Udaipur police line.

Customers of HDFC Bank in Udaipur had reported unauthorized withdrawals from their fixed deposit accounts, amounting to more than Rs. 82 lakh. Several complaints followed as the fraud came to light.

Investigators suspect that additional individuals, including the wife of the suspended constable, may also be involved in the fraudulent activities.
