In a significant breakthrough, the Crime Branch Unit 3 and the Anti-Gunda squad of Pimpri-Chinchwad police arrested Abdul Malik (45), a resident of Dudulgaon originally from Uttar Pradesh, in connection with the murder of Amusahab Mulla. The crime was reportedly driven by an extramarital affair between Abdul Malik and Jeba Mulla (30), the wife of the deceased.

The body of Amusahab Mulla, aged 34, was discovered on February 28 in a forested area near Dudulgaon. Upon identifying the body, the police launched an investigation. Acting swiftly on leads, the police team tracked down the accused to Mankapur village in Gonda district, Uttar Pradesh, where they apprehended both Abdul Malik and Jeba Mulla.

According to Harish Mane, Assistant Police Inspector of the Anti-Gunda Squad, “Abdul and Jeba were romantically involved, and the murder occurred because Abdul Malik wanted to marry Jeba.”

The arrested individuals were brought to the Dighi police station for further questioning. A case under BNS section 103 has been registered at Dighi police station, with the investigation continuing.
