A 23-year-old man, identified as Sana alias Purna Chandra Pattnaik from Mallick Basti, was arrested by Sector-15 police on Sunday for allegedly committing a house burglary.
The police recovered stolen cash, gold, and silver jewellery from the accused during the investigation.
The complaint was filed by S S Gourab who stated that he left his house on September 26 due to a medical emergency. During his absence, an unknown person entered his home through the roof and stole Rs 21,000 in cash, a gold earring, and a silver bracelet.
Following the complaint, police registered a case and launched an investigation.
According to a police officer, the items recovered from the accused include around Rs 20,400 in cash, a gold earring, two foot rings, a pair of silver anklets, three mobile phones, and a wristwatch.
