Shoplifter Stole Over £100,000 Worth of Goods from Boots in 3-Month Spree
Liam Hutchinson, 32, has been jailed following a large-scale shoplifting operation that saw him steal more than £100,000 worth of high-value electrical goods from Boots stores across the UK.
His crimes occurred between May and August 2025, targeting multiple Boots locations. The Metropolitan Police launched an investigation and identified Hutchinson using extensive CCTV footage from the stores.
Hutchinson was sentenced to 12 months in prison at Westminster Magistrates’ Court. He was also handed a Criminal Behaviour Order with the following conditions:
Banned from all Boots stores in the UK for 10 years
Prohibited from entering the Kensington and Chelsea borough for 5 years
Due to the scale and frequency of his thefts, police and the court imposed these strict measures to help prevent any future offences.
