Jerry Berry, 39, with no fixed address, was sentenced to three years and ten months in prison at Mold Crown Court on September 25. Berry pleaded guilty last month at Mold Magistrates’ Court to five counts of burglary of a dwelling, one burglary of a non-dwelling, dangerous driving, driving while disqualified, and unlawfully remaining at large after recall to prison.
The offenses occurred between June and July 2025, with Berry arrested in Bangor on July 16.
One notable burglary took place at St Paul’s Church in Rhosesmor on July 10, where Berry stole tins containing donations and cash.
Berry was also disqualified from driving for 71 months, a period that includes his custody sentence.
Judge Nicola Jones praised the police for their efforts, stating: “The police are to be commended for the incredible hard work they have put in to bring you to justice.”
Chief Inspector Matt Geddes highlighted the impact of Berry’s crimes on victims and communities, emphasizing the collaborative police work that led to Berry’s arrest and conviction.
“We remain committed to pursuing offenders and protecting our communities from harm,” Geddes said.
