Louis Bland Jr. Arrested for Burglary and Theft in Delaware

Georgetown, Delaware – Delaware State Police have arrested 55-year-old Louis Bland Jr. in connection with a burglary and felony theft that occurred on September 9, 2025.

Troopers responded to a home on the 20000 block of Wilson Road in Georgetown, where a 67-year-old resident reported that someone had entered his house while he was asleep and stolen his wallet. Investigators later discovered that the victim’s credit card had been used at a local convenience store on the same day.

Through investigative efforts, Bland was identified as the suspect. A warrant was issued for his arrest.

On September 18, 2025, Bland was taken into custody by the Millsboro Police Department for an unrelated matter. He was then charged by state police for the burglary incident and arraigned in Justice of the Peace Court 2. He is currently being held at Sussex Correctional Institution on a $26,000 cash bond.
