ONITSHA, NIGERIA — The Anambra State Police Command has arrested Divine Ifeanyi Nnalue, a domestic worker, for allegedly stealing a black Toyota Camry (Reg No: ENU 289 JF) from his employer’s residence in the Federal Housing area of Onitsha.
The arrest was confirmed in a statement released on Monday, June 16, 2025, by the Police Public Relations Officer, SP Tochukwu Ikenga.
According to Ikenga, operatives attached to the 33 Police Station apprehended Nnalue on June 13 in Ugbeji – Okpanam, near Asaba in Delta State, following intelligence-driven efforts.
“During interrogation, the suspect admitted to selling the stolen vehicle to an unidentified individual,” Ikenga stated.
The police have since launched a manhunt for the buyer and other accomplices, aiming to recover the stolen vehicle and bring all involved to justice.
Ikenga emphasized that the operation reflects the Command’s resolve to uphold the law and safeguard citizens’ property.
“This arrest demonstrates our commitment to tracking down those who betray trust and engage in criminal acts,” he said.
