Four individuals, including three women, were arrested for stealing air conditioning units and copper wires from Lok Seva Bhawan (State Secretariat) in Bhubaneswar.

The accused have been identified as Urmila Pradhan, Krishna Bisoy, Kumari Pradhan, and Prafulla Kumar Jena.

Sources revealed that the accused had access to the Lok Seva Bhawan premises as they worked there as labourers. They allegedly dismantled outdoor AC units from the rooftop of the Rural Development conference hall and extracted copper wires intending to sell them.

Following the theft, officials filed a complaint at the Capital Police Station, prompting an investigation.

Police reviewed CCTV footage from the Lok Seva Bhawan premises, which helped identify the suspects. Subsequently, the police arrested all four and recovered several outdoor AC units and copper wires from their possession.

Further investigations are ongoing.
