Three teenagers were arrested in East El Paso after allegedly pointing a rifle at police officers early on January 17. The suspects, identified as 18-year-old Michael Espindola, 19-year-old Joshua Dominic Parga, and 19-year-old Gavin James Kish, were taken into custody following a brief pursuit.

At around 2:30 a.m., officers were patrolling near Edgemere and Lee Trevino when they heard gunshots. While investigating, they noticed a white car and approached it. Upon getting closer, one of the occupants pointed a rifle at the officers. The police attempted to stop the vehicle, but the driver fled the scene.

A short pursuit ensued, which ended when the driver crashed the vehicle. The three teens then fled on foot, but officers quickly apprehended them.

Espindola faces an aggravated assault charge against a public servant, with a combined bond of $10,000. The three suspects were booked into the El Paso County Detention Facility.
