A woman from Ballymena, Nicki Kirkpatrick, has been convicted of stealing £800 in cash and a wallet from a man’s home. The incident occurred on October 17 of last year, with the man testifying at Ballymena Magistrates Court that he had withdrawn the £800 from the bank to buy paint and wallpaper for home renovations. He stated that after returning home, the money and wallet were stolen by Kirkpatrick.

The man explained that Kirkpatrick had visited his home that day. While he was upstairs answering a phone call, the theft took place. He later found that the money and wallet were missing from his home.

Kirkpatrick, aged 27, from Ballyclug Mews in Ballymena, did not attend the contested hearing, and was found guilty of the theft. The court proceedings emphasized the seriousness of the crime, and Kirkpatrick is expected to face sentencing for her actions.
