The Kozhikode City police special squad arrested 26-year-old P.S. Jumiya, a native of Alappuzha, for her involvement in smuggling synthetic drugs worth Rs2 crore. Jumiya was detained in Bengaluru two days ago based on information from two youths previously arrested in the case.

On May 19, the police had seized a substantial amount of synthetic drugs from a rented house at Puthiyangadi, including 779 grams of MDMA and numerous LSD stamps. The two suspects, Vadakkedathu Shine and Kizhakkayil Albin, were arrested, and electronic weighing devices along with a motorbike used for drug transportation were recovered during the raid.

Jumiya is believed to have played a key role as a carrier in this drug trafficking network. Authorities are continuing their investigation into the case.
