NASHVILLE, Tenn. — Metro detectives arrested 18-year-old Charles Green Fukua after he was spotted driving a stolen SUV and fleeing on foot, authorities said.
The incident occurred on the night of February 1, when officers located a stolen Chevrolet Suburban at an apartment complex on Crossings Boulevard. Police reported the vehicle had been speeding before the driver abandoned it and ran.
Investigators said Green Fukua discarded a semiautomatic gun shortly before his arrest. The gun had been reported stolen in 2024 from a vehicle on Marriott Drive. Officers also recovered three wallets from inside the Suburban.
Authorities noted that Green Fukua was already out on a $5,000 bond from a prior auto theft arrest in April 2025. He now faces charges including theft of a vehicle, theft of a firearm, burglary of a motor vehicle, theft of property, and evading arrest. Jail records show he remains in custody on a $34,400 bond, and police are investigating his connection to additional cases.
