Brad Ray Arrested in Lisbon Business Theft Case

Gray man charged after $2,000 in stolen goods

by Sophia Bennett

LISBON, Maine — Lisbon police have arrested Brad Ray, 49, of Gray, in connection with multiple thefts from a local business.

Authorities say Ray was taken into custody on January 16 after detectives discovered he was carrying stolen merchandise upon returning to the store. The total value of the stolen items is reported to exceed $2,000.

The investigation began in December following separate theft reports at the same business. Police say detectives contacted Ray as he was leaving the store during his latest visit, confirming his involvement.

Lisbon police worked with the Bath Police Department, which helped link the case to other thefts and identify additional suspects.

Ray was booked at the Lisbon Police Department and later released on bail with conditions. He is expected to appear in court at a later date.
