PALM BEACH COUNTY, Fla. — Lawrence Trevonne Young was arrested in Palm Beach County on multiple charges, including burglary, theft, illegal firearm possession, and a probation violation, according to a police report released Monday, Jan. 12, 2026.
The arrest is recorded under report number 564669 and was published online at 12:27 p.m. by the Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office. Young is described as a Black male; no date of birth was listed.
Authorities say Young allegedly burglarized an unoccupied vehicle while unarmed, stole a credit card, and possessed or retained a stolen credit or debit card. He is also accused of possessing a firearm or ammunition as a convicted Florida felon, which is considered a serious felony under state law. Additional charges include a probation violation and a traffic offense for driving with an expired license for more than six months.
Police have not disclosed details about the timing or location of the alleged burglary, the recovery of the stolen credit card, or the circumstances of the firearm possession. Officials also did not clarify whether the probation violation is related to the other alleged offenses.
Several of the charges carry significant penalties, particularly those involving burglary, financial theft, and firearm possession by a convicted felon. Authorities have not confirmed if formal charges have been filed or when Young will appear in court.
Law enforcement stressed that an arrest is an allegation and does not constitute a determination of guilt. Young is presumed innocent until proven guilty.
The Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office said the investigation is ongoing, and additional information may be released as the case progresses through the judicial system.
